How to set up the mail alarm function? Could I use gmail, hotmail and yahoo email?

Yes, you could. But you need to fill in the correct port of the mail server, especially for gmail. You may turn back to the settings guide of the gmail for more information.
All those functions should be set DNS in the “Basic Network Settings ”TABs, which is the same with the router.
